‘Tiny Titans’ continue winning streak

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — In July we introduced you to a team of weightlifting kids from Wilmington who are quite the crew of champions.  The kids of Crossfit Wilmington are still bringing home the golds.

Earlier this month the team traveled to Greenville to compete in the NC State Championship and they took home more than a few medals. The men’s weightlifting team won best overall and the women’s team won second.

As far as individual victories, 9 competitors from the team were named State Champions. There was also 1 silver medalist and 2 bronze medalists.

“…we had a REALLY good meet,” said head coach Walter Neubauer.

In December, 4 senior level athletes from Crossfit Wilmington will travel to Reno, Nevada to compete in the American Open weightlifting competition.
