‘Together For Veterans Expo’ held at Independence Mall

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Thursday many attended WWAY’s Together for Veterans Expo at Independence Mall. 

The event honored those who served as well as connected local veterans, their families and community members with valuable resources and businesses. There were dozens of tables set up for the attendees to learn more information.  

Dorothy McCloud learned about the expo through TV and wanted to attend to honor her dad who served in the Air Force, as well as all of those who served. 

“Very positive and I always honor the veterans for everything that they’ve done. The ones that have passed on and the ones that are still here because they went out there and they did this for us.  A lot of them lost their lives for us. So, yeah, I think it is always a positive thing,” McCloud said.
