Topsail Beach mandates lawn-watering schedule

Town commissioners Wednesday night unanimously adopted an irrigation itinerary effective through Sept. 30.

“We have water,” said Mayor Howard Braxton. “We are using so much water all the time that we’re overworking our pumps. We’ve got to slow down a little bit so we’re not overworking our wells.”
