Topsail infielder Sam Hall verbally commits to Clemson

HAMPSTEAD, NC (WWAY) — Sam Hall is considered to be one of the top class of 2017 prospects in North Carolina. As it turns out, one of North Carolina’s best players will be leaving the state. Hall made a verbal commitment to attend Clemson University on Wednesday. Former College of Charleston head coach Monte Lee recently took over the Clemson baseball program.

Sam Hall chose Clemson over NC State and Georgia Tech. Hall is versatile. He can play practically every position, but he’ll likely end up being an infielder at Clemson. The shortstop position is a strong possibility for Hall with the Tigers. Hall hit .423 with three homers and 23 RBI, 27 hits, 26 runs scored in 2014 as a sophomore at Topsail High.
