Town of Leland launches inaugural In Bloom festival

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — The Town of Leland invites the community to celebrate spring, creativity, and environmental stewardship at the inaugural In Bloom festival on Saturday, May 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Founders Park.
An expansion of Leland’s popular spring art market, In Bloom will feature local artists, plant growers, nonprofits, and performers. Attendees can shop handcrafted and eco-friendly goods, browse plants from regional growers, and engage in hands-on activities such as cyanotype sun prints, tie-dye projects, and recycled-material art workshops.
Live entertainment includes dance lessons from Wilmington Latin Dance and music from Dear MariBella & the Pigkickers. Local organizations will provide information on conservation and volunteer opportunities, highlighting the region’s commitment to environmental stewardship.
Food vendors including Mimi and Papa’s Popcorn and Sweet Shop, Island Squeeze Lemonade, and Seaview Crab Company will be on site.
The event is free and family friendly. More information is available on the Town of Leland website.
