TRAFFIC ALERT: Both lanes blocked on HWY 17 due to vehicle fire
BRUNWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — According to the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, Highway 17 at Green Hill Road is currently shut down.
The road closure comes as a vehicle is fully involved in fire.
Fire crews are on scene and both lanes are blocked while they work to extinguish the flames.
Traffic is heavily back up heading towards Leland.
The sheriff’s office asks residents to avoid the area and use alternate routes if possible.
Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office says they’ll provide an update once the roadway reopens.
