TRAFFIC ALERT: New traffic signal in Brunswick County

BELVILLE, NC (WWAY) — Drivers, be alert.  Next week, the new traffic signal at the intersection of  Highway 133 and Blackwell Road will soon be activated.

Starting Tuesday, the signal will start flashing red for drivers on Blackwell Road and yellow for drivers on Hwy 133.

The following week, weather permitting, the traffic light should be fully operational.  This work is part of the Leland Causeway Bridge Project.

The new signal is expected to improve safety by controlling traffic at this intersection.
