Traffic stop leads to wanted man’s arrest in Elizabethtown

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A traffic stop in the South Lower Street area of Elizabethtown led to the arrest of a man wanted in multiple counties for felony and misdemeanor charges, the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office announced in a news release.
Deputies with the Community Impact Team stopped a vehicle on November 18 for a traffic violation and identified the driver as William David DiCicco, 37, of Bladenboro. Authorities said DiCicco had outstanding warrants in Bladen County and Cumberland County.
During the investigation, deputies discovered narcotics in the vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office.
DiCicco faces the following charges:
Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, deliver Schedule II controlled substances
Felony possession of cocaine
Felony possession of Schedule I controlled substances
Possession of methamphetamine
Maintaining a vehicle for the keeping and selling of controlled substances
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Additionally, he was served with outstanding warrants for two counts of disclosing private images of an adult and other warrants from Cumberland County.
DiCicco is being held in the Bladen County Detention Center on a $200,000 secured bond.
