Trask Family Farms’ Sunflower Maze now open

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Trask Family Farms is kicking off their annual Sunflower Maze this weekend. 

The sunflower maze off Blue Clay Rd. is the largest in New Hanover County, and will last for two and a half weeks until another sunflower maze will open, lasting until mid-July.  

While at the farm, attendees also have the chance to ride the hayride, or pick their own flowers from 18 different varieties. The farm also sells fresh produce all summer long. Head Farmer Graham Trask said this is the farm’s second year hosting the maze. 

“We had such great feedback with it last year, that we wanted to bring it back for people to come out and enjoy it again, and we wanted to kick it off with a bang so this weekend we started during Sunflower Festival, and we’ll continue to do that next year,” he said. 

Tickets for the maze run for $12, with children under the age of three attending for free.
