VIDEO: Tree crew inside home when armed men attempt to break in

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Two men, one armed with a gun, tried to break into a Wilmington home overnight. It was all caught on camera and now law enforcement wants your help identifying them.

It happened around 3:45 a.m. Wednesday at a home on 17th Street. Surveillance video was taken from the doorbell camera.

As seen in the video, one man rings the doorbell and waits. Moments later, another man holding a gun joins him. They try to force their way in the front door before running off.

Tree contractors from Kentucky were staying in the home at the time.

Wilmington Police are investigating.
