ONLY ON 3: Trolley ‘loses power,’ ends up in Riverwalk Landing yard

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A spokesman with the Wilmington Trolley Company says one of their trolleys ended up in the Riverwalk Landing front yard, almost crashing into the building.

The incident was reported on Water Street around 2:00 p.m. Friday. The spokesman said a few people were on board including the driver but no one was hurt. He said the trolley rolled backward toward the Riverwalk Landing when it lost power. The trolley was towed away.

The other trolleys are still in service, he said.
