Tropicana Supermarket opening in Wilmington
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A North Carolina-based grocery store chain with locations in other parts of the state, plans to open its first store in Wilmington.
Tropicana Supermarkets has purchased the former Toys ‘R’ Us building on Oleander Drive. This will be the chain’s seventh location in the state.
The family who owns the chain says they will carry meats, produce, and specialty items from around the world.
The family says they’re working on the permitting process with the city.
