Trump Bus makes stop in New Hanover County

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The 2024 Presidential election is just 28 days away, and part of the Trump campaign stopped in New Hanover County.

It was the first stop in North Carolina for the Trump Bus, which also made stops in Fayetteville and Rocky Mount on Wednesday.

The Trump Bus also stopped in Wilmington during the 2020 election.

North Carolina is the 3rd battleground state the bus will drive through, having already been to Wisconsin and Georgia.

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds and former California LT. Governor Abel Maldonado are riding on the bus and spoke to supporters.

Susan Lamy said it was a great opportunity to see prominent members of the GOP speak.

“Its awesome, its things that we should be doing and sticking together,”Lamy said. “And just meeting the Governors and the people that just support President Trump, its awesome.”

The bus tour will continue stopping throughout North Carolina on Thursday and Friday.
