WILMINGTON, NC (CFCC RELEASE) — Cape Fear heads into Thanksgiving break following a 101-86 rout over Wake Tech at the Schwartz Center on Tuesday night.
Alonzo Tyson recorded a double-double with a game-high 24 points and 14 rebounds, while T.J. Evans added 12 in the win.
“We started out strong tonight, but were not at a championship level defensively,” said CFCC Coach Ryan Mantlo. “We will continue to grind on that over the break to get ready for our conference opener.”
Nelson McClain and Josh Lindsey also hit for 11 points apiece to put four players in double figures.
The Sea Devils improved to 6-3 overall and remain unbeaten at 5-0 on their home floor. Cape Fear takes a 10-day hiatus before opening conference play at home against Clinton Junior College on Friday, Dec. 4.
