Turn lane to permanently close on busy Wilmington road
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington drivers will no longer be able to turn left into one neighborhood from N. College Road.
On Monday, the NC Department of Transportation is scheduled to permanently close the left turn lane onto Spring View Drive into Spring View Estates.
The NCDOT says the move will help improve safety.
After this lane is permanently closed, drivers needing to make a left turn should instead turn at the Kings Drive and N. College Road intersection, which is a half mile away.
Drivers are urged to slow down near the work site and use caution.
