TV production to temporarily close Carolina Beach parking lots and streets

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Several town-operated parking lots in Carolina Beach will be temporarily closed this week as television production crews film in various locations across the area.

According to town officials, the following lots will be closed during the filming period:

  • Fisherman’s Lot (224 Canal Drive)
  • Shell Lot (401 S. Lake Park Blvd.)
  • Surfside East Lot (236 Carolina Beach Ave. N)
  • Surfside West Lot (237 Carolina Beach Ave. N)

The lots will reopen to the public once filming is complete.

The Town of Carolina Beach has also confirmed the ABC television pilot titled “RJ Decker” will be filming on Wednesday, Thursday, and Monday July. During filming, the following streets will be closed to thru traffic:

  • Carolina Beach Avenue North between Pelican Lane and Canal Drive
  • Carolina Beach Avenue South at Driftwood Lane
  • Lake Drive between Carolina Beach Avenue South and Lake Park Boulevard South
  • Spartanburg Avenue between South 2nd and Carolina Beach Avenue South

The town said homeowners and renters will have access to their house or rental.
