Two arrested in Columbus County drug investigation

TABOR CITY, NC (WWAY) — Two people are behind bars after Columbus County Sheriff’s Office detectives executed a search warrant in the Sandy Place Community of Tabor City.
According to a news release, Vice/Narcotics Detectives and the Heavy Enforcement Action Team carried out the warrant Tuesday following an investigation sparked by multiple citizen complaints about suspected drug activity at a residence.
Detectives conducted undercover operations and surveillance before securing the search warrant. During the search, investigators seized narcotics and other evidence.
Kavin Rudolph Jordan was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, maintaining a place for keeping and selling illegal controlled substances, and possession of marijuana. His bond was set at $125,000 secured, and he is being held at the Columbus County Detention Center.
Johnny Lee Green was also arrested and charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. His bond was set at $1,500 secured, and he is being held at the Columbus County Detention Center.
