Two charged after breaking into vehicles at local car dealership in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Wilmington Police Department responded to two people breaking into vehicles at a Wilmington Volkswagen dealership.

According to the police, officers located two suspects fleeing the scene early Tuesday morning. An investigation revealed that a man and a woman were breaking into several vehicles at the nearby Volkswagen dealership.

Anthony Lynn, 34, was found to be in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia. Melissa Patel, 42, had more than five grams of meth and drug paraphernalia. Both suspects are from Wilmington.

Lynn has been charged with Felony Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance, Breaking or Entering Motor Vehicle, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He is being held without bond.

Patel is charged with PWIMSD Schedule II Controlled Substance, Felony Possession Schedule II Controlled Substance, Breaking or Entering Motor Vehicle, Possession Schedule VI Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was given a $25,000 secured bond.
