Two charged in death of 8-month-old baby in Brunswick County
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Two people face charges in the death of a baby in Brunswick County.
Curtis Matthew Williams, 36, and Mollie Elaine Fischer, 32, are both charged with involuntary manslaughter and negligent child abuse/serious bodily injury.
According to an incident report from the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, law enforcement responded to a call for cardiac or respiratory arrest at a home on Heights Place in Leland on January 28.
Law enforcement began a death investigation and arrested Williams and Fischer for the death of their 8-month-old son Maximus Williams on February 9.
They are both being held at the Brunswick County Detention Center under a $250,000 bond. Their next court date is February 29.
