Two dead following mobile home fire in Supply

SUPPLY, NC (WWAY) — Two people are dead following an early morning mobile home fire in Supply.
The Tri-Beach Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene in the 300 block of Baker Drive at 4:41 a.m. on Friday. Firefighters discovered the home fully engulfed in flames.
During a search of the home, firefighters located two people dead inside. Several pets inside the home were also found dead.
Additional support came from the Civietown, Supply, and Shallotte Fire Departments, as well as Brunswick County EMS, the Brunswick County Fire Marshal’s Office, and the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Department. The Oak Island Fire Department provided stand-by coverage during the operation.
Tina Trask lives down the street from where the fire happened.
She said she saw the fire while coming home from the gym.
“I left the gym at 5 and about quarter past 5, on my way home, I noticed two police coming down the end of this road,” Trask said. “And as I was coming up, I look and I saw the flames. Like the flames were, they were, it was just massive. It was, it was very shocking and heartbreaking.”
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Brunswick County Fire Marshal’s Office, the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, and the North Carolina Office of State Marshal.
