Two injured in fire near Bladenboro

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Two people are in the hospital following a fire at a home near Bladenboro on Sunday.

According to the Bladenboro Fire Department Facebook page, the fire started around 2:00 pm on NC Hwy 410 South of Bladenboro.

When crews arrived, they saw heavy flames going through the roof of the home.

Two people were taken to the hospital with injuries. Bladen Co. Fire Marshal Kenneth Clark says they are still in the hospital at this time.

Bladenboro Fire Departments says there’s no word yet on the cause of the fire.

Clarkton Fire Department, Dublin Volunteer Fire Department, and North Whiteville Vol. Fire Department provided mutual aid. The fire has been referred to Bladen County Emergency Services for investigation.
