Two rescued off Wrightsville Beach

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — A Coast Guard spokesman said a man and woman are OK following an ocean rescue off the coast.

The Coast Guard said the pair reported their 17-foot boat was taking on water on a rock jetty. A 29-foot rescue boat launched from Wrightsville Beach to rescue them. The man suffered some scrapes and bruises. The woman was unharmed.

The boat has been towed back to Wrightsville Beach Marina.
