Two shootings take place hours apart along same road in Columbus County

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Two shootings took place Saturday in Tabor City, according to the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office.
The first shooting happened around 6:55 a.m. on Wright Road.
Deputies responded in reference to shots heard in the area. They spoke to a woman who said she heard a lot of gunshots down the road from her house towards Deer Lane. Deputies then headed in the direction the shots were heard from and observed a man standing in the front yard of the home on Wright Road.
The man said the house had been shot as well as the home beside his.
When questioned about the incident, a witness said she did not contact law enforcement when it occurred because she did not want a report to be filed. Both houses were struck a total of fifteen times each, the sheriff’s office says.
This case has been closed due to victims refusing to cooperate.
Another shooting took place that evening around 8:10 p.m. on Wright Road.
Deputies responded in reference to a person being shot while driving.
They made contact with the caller on the phone where she stated she had left the scene due to not knowing if it was a safe environment for her children. The caller stated she would go back to the house and speak with law enforcement if they were there.
The witness says the vehicle had pulled into her driveway and Manny Bellamy had jumped out of the vehicle and stated he had been shot and needed someone to take him to his mother’s residence.
Bellamy was taken to Grand strand where he would be treated for a gunshot wound to the head. Horry County made contact with deputies and advised they believed the shooting had taken place in South Carolina.
This case is still active.
