Two suspects arrested after chase

WILMINGTON, NC, (WWAY) — Two men are in custody after a brief chase Monday afternoon.

Wilmington Police said a guest at the Best Western on Market Street told the hotel’s front desk he saw a man selling drugs in one of the rooms. When police arrived, they said two suspects ran off in the direction of Lennon Woods apartments.

Police said they arrested one immediately. Then, after a brief search, police took the second suspect into custody. Police also found a handgun at the scene.

Police said both men are in custody and charges are pending.
