Two suspects charged in Tabor City shooting

TABOR CITY, NC (WWAY) — A second man has been charged for his alleged role in a shooting at a home in Tabor City the day after Christmas.

Treavon Smith has already been arrested for sending threatening text messages to his ex before allegedly firing bullets at a home on Reynolds Road in Tabor City.

The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office says they arrested Shykeem Newman yesterday after finding him with a stolen gun.

Newman faces multiple charges, including felony flee to elude in a motor vehicle.
