Two Whiteville police cars involved in crash

WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) —  The Highway Patrol is investigating after they say two Whiteville police cars got into an accident last night.

Troopers says it happened around 7:30 p.m. on the US 701 Bypass near San Juan’s restaurant.

The Highway Patrol said one of the officers was pinned inside the car and was taken to the hospital, but has non-life-threatening injuries. The other officer was also taken to the hospital, because of policy. He has little injury.

The names of the officers and details about how it happened have not been released yet. The Highway Patrol is still investigating.
