Two Wilmington City Council seats up for grabs

WILMINGTON — It’s a short ballot in Wilmington. There are just two City Council seats up for grabs.

Candidates Susan Clark, Ronald Sparks, Kristi Tomey and incumbent Pat Delair are vying for the two open seats.

Laura Padgett won her seat outright, but none of the other candidates got enough votes to avoid tomorrow’s run off election.

There are also elections going on for the towns of Wrightsville, Carolina and Kure Beach.

Polls will open in New Hanover, Brunswick, Pender, Bladen and Columbus Counties at 6:30 a.m. The voting locations all close at 7:30 p.m.
