UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy announces new STEM program for high schoolers

WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) — The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy is partnering with Southeastern Community College to provide rising high school juniors and seniors from rural communities in north Carolina an immersive summer camp supplemented with a year-long program.

The program will take place over two days at Southeastern Community College from July 31st through August 1st.

Students will participate in educational activities like DNA extraction of strawberries and panel discussions with pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists from the surrounding area.

High school juniors and seniors can apply for the Promoting Innovation and Lifelong Learning in Stem program now until May 30th.
