UNCW board approves tuition and fee increases

WILMINGTON (WWAY) — The UNCW Board of Trustees met Friday to discuss changing tuition and fees for the 2026-2027 academic year. 

Some changes were made during the Board of Trustees meeting involving the endowment board, tuition prices, and facility updates. 

During the meeting, UNCW’s tuition prices were compared to other schools, both in and out of state. 

Ultimately, the Board of Trustees approved to increase the resident-undergraduate tuition rate by three percent. 

Student housing rates were increased by four percent for the 2026-2027 academic year. 

Facility updates include a DeLoach Hall modernization, a tennis facility on Hamilton Drive, and the aesthetic approval for the Housing Village phase three project.
