UNCW GameCon offers a full day of gaming, tournaments and free activities
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) —UNCW GameCon 2026 is set to take place this weekend, offering a full day of gaming, tournaments, and activities with free admission.
Hosted by UNCW Esports, the convention will be held Sunday, March 22, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Watson Education Building (Sayed Hall).
The event will feature a range of activities including video game and tabletop tournaments, vendors, raffles, and free-to-play gaming experiences. Attendees can also explore VR gaming and tabletop games throughout the day.
Scheduled events include a Gran Turismo 7 qualifier at 11 a.m., a Super Smash Bros. singles tournament at noon, a Magic: The Gathering draft at 1 p.m., and a cosplay competition at 2 p.m. Additional highlights include a Mario Kart tournament, a Just Dance 2025 competition for all ages, and the Gran Turismo 7 finals later in the afternoon.
A special all-day event will showcase the C3 Rocket League Tournament Finals, featuring college teams and open for public viewing.
Doors open at 10 a.m., and all activities are free to attend.
