UNCW hosts inaugural “TechXperience”

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)– Today, UNCW hosted an event to share and explore technology on campus.

The school’s first-ever “TechXperience” is aimed at fostering collaboration, innovation, and knowledge-sharing within the UNCW community.

It included presentations on a wide variety of tech-related initiatives, like artificial intelligence, and e-sports.

UNCW’s IT Associate Vice Chancellor, Sharyne Miller, says she hopes today’s session will open more doors to tech opportunities for students.

“We are doing wonderful things with regard to technology on campus. We’re a Research 2 university, so we are ready to spread our wings and soar with research that will serve our community, serve our students, and really grow our whole environment,” said Miller.

In addition to AI and eSports, those who stopped by the TechXperience had the chance to learn more about chatbots, cyber defense, and research.
