UNCW men’s basketball hopes to end regular season on a high note

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)–It hasn’t been the season that UNCW men’s basketball envisioned when they began the year. The Seahawks dropped their past two games on the road to fall into 10th place in the CAA standings.

UNCW will have one last chance to get into the win column this upcoming Saturday, when they hit the road in the regular season finale to take on the College of Charleston. Charleston pulled off the 73-66 win over the Seahawks when the two met back on December 29th.

The Seahawks are one of the teams in the CAA that only has one game in the final week of the season. They have used the extra time to try and prepare for their last game.

“Last weekend we didn’t finish either game like we wanted to. We got back into both games and had a chance. Obviously we don’t want to have those turnovers again this weekend when its our only game. So, we’ve been working on some offensive stuff to execute better,”said UNCW head coach C.B. McGrath.

UNCW and the Cougars will tip-off at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday from Charleston, SC.
