Under the Dome returns to Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Some good news tonight for Hollywood East. “Under the Dome” is returning to Wilmington for Season 3.

The series was officially renewed for another season earlier today, but it was just announced that the drama would indeed continue to film in NC.

“I’m pleased ‘Under the Dome’ is making it their home for their 3rd season, pleased hundreds of local folks will be working and local businesses will continue to benefit from production companies coming back,” EUE/Screen Gems Executive Vice President Bill Vassar told WWAY Thursday evening.

He also added 2014 has been one of the best years for filming in Wilmington.
