UPDATE: CFPUA finds no issues at home neighbor says stinks

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Cape Fear Public Utility Authority today checked out a foreclosed Murrayville home, where a neighbor says the unattended pool is causing quite a stink.

CFPUA spokesman Mike McGill says crews found no problems with the authority’s infrastructure on the property.

McGill says there was some question about an out-of-service septic system. He said if it was not pumped out when the home hooked up to the sewer system in April, it could cause a foul odor.
