UPDATE: Man dies after car rolls over

WINNABOW, NC (WWAY) — Highway Patrol says a Winnabow man died this evening after he wrecked his car.

Investigators say Jesse Mason, 22, was driving west on Funston Road when he crossed the center line. They say he overcorrected then overturned his Ford Explorer.

Troopers say Mason was on his way to help a friend fix a car.

Funston Road was closed for about three hours while Highway Patrol investigated.

They say drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the crash.
