UPDATE: Missing Leland teen found

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Brunswick County detectives say they found a teen they say suffers from a cognitive disorder that requires medication.

Tanner Alderton had last been seen Wednesday at his home on Palmers Branch Drive. A spokeswoman did not elaborate on where he was found.

Investigators say the 14-year-old is about 5’6″ and 120 pounds. They say he was wearing a blue jeans and a black and gray tweed coat with “Billabong” written across the back when he went missing.

Alderton was not believed to be in any danger according to a spokeswoman, though he did require prescribed medication.
