UPDATE: Police hunt for suspect in police shooting

SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — Police in northwest Louisiana say they believe they know who the suspect is who shot and killed a police officer last night in Shreveport.

Police say they’re obtaining a warrant for his arrest.

Police say the officer was responding to a report of a suspicious person inside a home, and the armed man apparently was inside the home, threatening to harm people.

Police plan to release the name of the officer later this morning.
