UPDATE: WPD responds to three shootings Sunday night

WILMINGTON, NC – Wilmington Police are investigating three isolated shootings that occurred Sunday night.

Officers responded to the 400 block of Bladen Street around 6:40 P.M. and found a victim with a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was 39-year-old Andrew Lige of Wilmington. He was transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center with severe injuries and had to undergo emergency surgery.

Approximately 10 minutes later, WPD responded to another shooting in the 400 block of Bess Street. The officers located Anthony Tindall, who suffered a gunshot wound to the hip. Tindall, 30 of Wilmington, was transported to NHRMC for his non-life threatening injury.

Tindall has given police mixed information on the incident and is being an uncooperative witness.

Officers responded to NHRMC around 8:30 P.M. where Keyon Goodman, 28 of Wilmington, entered the ER with a gunshot wound to the leg. Goodman told officers he was the victim of a drive by shooting in the 3000 block of Princess Place Drive.

However, reports from witnesses contradict his story.

The shootings are not believed to be random.
