US Highway 421 shut down in both directions near I-140 following wreck

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office said US Highway 421 is shut down in both directions near the intersection of Interstate 140.
NHSO is assisting the NC Highway Patrol following a wreck.
The sheriff’s office is advising drivers to avoid the area or use an alternate route.
