US Marshals arrest Wilmington man wanted in deadly shooting

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The U.S. Marshals Task Force has arrested a man wanted in connection to a deadly shooting that happened in Wilmington last week.

Adrian Point, 29, was arrested just before 10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning in Wilmington.

On March 11, the Wilmington Police Department says officers responded around 2:50 p.m. to a ShotSpotter alert at Sixth and Nixon streets, where they found Oarmonz Dikal Days in critical condition. He was taken to NHRMC but was pronounced dead.

Point is charged with first-degree murder and possession of firearm by felon and is being held without bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
