Guilty verdict reached in double murder trial of O’Monte Bell and Dyrell Green

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A guilty verdict was reached late this afternoon following more than three weeks of testimony and jury deliberations in the double murder trial of O’Monte Bell and Dyrell Green.
Both men were charged in the 2021 deaths of Koredreese Tyson and Bri’yanna Williams at the home of George Taylor III, the former chief operating officer of TRU Colors Brewing.
Bell and Green each faced multiple charges stemming from the incident, including the killings of Tyson and Williams, as well as the attempted murder of M’Kaila Walker.
According to court records, both defendants were charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Tyson and Williams, attempted first-degree murder in the shooting of Walker, and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder in the death of Tyson.
Prosecutors alleged the case involved a coordinated attack that left two people dead and another injured during the 2021 incident.
After weeks of testimony and deliberation, jurors returned their verdict late in the day.
The trial concludes a lengthy court process in a case that has drawn significant attention due to the nature of the allegations and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Sentencing and additional court proceedings are expected to be scheduled at a later date.
