Verizon customers across U.S. reporting cell phone service issues

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Verizon customers across the country are reporting issues with their phones according to Downdetector.
People have been noticed their phone going into “SOS” mode on Wednesday around lunchtime.
On Wednesday, Verizon posted a statement on X, “We are aware of an issue impacting wireless voice and data services for some customers. Our engineers are engaged and are working to identify and solve the issue quickly. We understand how important reliable connectivity is and apologize for the inconvenience.”
