Victim left seriously injured in Saturday morning shooting

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police Department are investigating after a person was shot in their home near the 5100 block of Lamppost Circle.

According to WPD spokeswoman Cathryn Lindsay, the shooting happened around 10 a.m. Saturday morning.

A victim was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center with serious but non life-threatening injuries.

Police have no suspect in custody at this time.
