Volunteer Day at Bladen County Animal Control and Shelter

Elizabethtown, NC (WWAY) — The Bladen County Animal Control and Shelter is hosting a Volunteer Day to fill stockings for their animals.
They’ll be filling 100 stockings with toys, treats, collars, leashes, and blankets to bring some festive joy to their furry friends.
If the animals get adopted before Christmas, the stocking will go with the animals to their new homes, and if they don’t get adopted before Christmas, they’ll get to enjoy their treats at the shelter.
You can help the shelter by donating gently used or new items, such as:
– Stockings
– Toys (squeaky toys, plush toys, etc.)
– Treats (dog biscuits, cat treats, etc.)
– Collars and leashes
– Blankets and towels
– Monetary donations to purchase supplies
You can drop off your donations at 506 Smith Circle in Elizabethtown, or join the shelter today from 1:00 p.m. to 5 p.m. to visit the animals in person.
