Wanted Bladen County fugitive arrested after four years on the run

ELIZABETHTOWN, NC (WWAY) — A four-year search came to an end Wednesday as the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office arrested Adam Lee Sessoms, 28, of Elizabethtown.
Sessoms, who investigators say had been evading law enforcement since 2020, was captured at a residence in the 300 block of Harrelson Road.
According to a statement from Sheriff James A. McVicker, deputies from the Vice/Narcotics Unit, Criminal Investigations Division, and Community Impact Team located Sessoms at the home. As officers approached, Sessoms was seen in the side yard but ran back into the residence. Officers entered the home, where Sessoms was found hiding behind a stove in a recessed cabinet.
Sessoms was arrested and transported to the Bladen County Jail, where he is being held without bond.
During the search of the residence, deputies also arrested Bobbi-Lynn Sessoms, 26, of Elizabethtown, who had outstanding warrants. She was transported to the Bladen County Jail and is being held under a $100,000 secured bond.
