WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Warming Shelter in Wilmington welcomed 85 guests Tuesday night and will help dozens more through the weekend.

The shelter at Grace United Methodist Church will open each night through Monday, as weather is expected to remain dangerously cold.

Volunteers say they need cold medicine and cough drops, soda, mittens and gloves, handwarmers and games for those they’re sheltering.

The group says they also need help Monday morning with cleanup.
