WATCH: Sea turtle hatchling crawls to the ocean

CASWELL BEACH, NC (WWAY) — A baby sea turtle hatchling was caught on camera making its way to the ocean in Caswell Beach.

Caswell Beach Turtle Watch posted a video on its Facebook page of the turtle taking its first journey Tuesday.

If this turtle is a female, she will return to the beach when it’s time for her to nest her eggs.

The little girl or guy will eventually grow to three feet or more long and weigh up to 250 pounds.
