Water main break impacts two Pender County Schools

BURGAW, N.C. (WWAY) – Pender County Schools say they are addressing a water main break that has impacted Malpass Corner Elementary and Pender High School.

The incident, which occurred earlier Monday evening, has prompted action from the school district to mitigate disruptions to students’ routines and ensure their safety.

In response to the water main break, alternative arrangements for drinking water and sanitary facilities are being provided by the school district, they say.

PCS will remain in contact with Pender County Utilities as it works to resolve the break.
