Water main break repairs to affect Carolina Beach Road traffic

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Emergency repairs are underway on a water main  break on Silva Terra Rd at the intersection of Carolina Beach Road.

Cape Fear Public Utility Authority crews will be closing the outer southbound lane of Carolina Beach Road and the through lane on Matteo Drive.

The break happened around 1:45 p.m. Repairs are expected to take several hours.

There is a precautionary boil water advisory for the affected area.
