Water outage scheduled for Penderlea area of Pender County

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A water outage is scheduled for the Penderlea area of Pender County Friday night.

Pender County Utilities have scheduled the outage for December 15th starting at 9:00 p.m.

Customers west of Crooked Run Road and Highway 11 will be affected by this outage which is expected last approximately six to eight hours.

Crews say this outage is essential for the bridge contractors to tie in the new water main that crosses under the creek on Hwy 11.

Once the water is restored, a precautionary boil water advisory will be issued for the affected customers in the area until further notice.
